Rang De Whatever!

I think, labelling the Reservation protests as an outcome of the Rang De Basanti effect is pathetic. It trivialises an important movement. Screw RDB.

no akshay, u got that wrong. its because we believe in equality that we stand against quotas. if u MUST bring in quotas, bring them according to wealth.. that i wud understand. but not this.

I don't about Quotas or No Quotas, what I know is that a disparity exists and it needs to be addressed. If the movement did something more to address this disparity rather than protesting we would see some change.

it is the govt's job to address that disparity. not the students who are currently in class. anyhow, there are enough docs who are putting in days and days of voluntary work for the poor and the disadvantaged. the stupidass govt needs to realise that the disparity needs to be sorted at the root level - nothing is going to happen by reserving seats at the elite postgrad level - by that time, the student is already at a position of strength.
